What I’m learning from working with vines
A few early lessons about attention, timing and doing the same small things well.
Working with vines has made me more aware of the calendar. A block can look almost unchanged for days, then a short spell of weather makes the next decision obvious.
I am trying to notice before I explain. There is plenty to learn from people who have spent years reading a row of vines without needing to make it sound mysterious.
The work is physical, seasonal and specific. That is part of the appeal.
